  • AI and Data enabled predictive Multiscale Modeling across STEM Fall 2024 Cohort

    AIDMM-NRT program is an NSF funded Research Traineeship (NRT) program to establish a world-class research and training program that Harnesses the Data Revolution to Enhance Predictive Multi-Scale Modeling across STEM.

    What’s in the Program:

    Innovative, flexible, and dynamic environment for interdisciplinary graduate education.

    Three core courses on applications of Machine Learning and AI to mathematical modeling across STEM

    Weekly cohort meetings focused on professional development and networking.

    Targeted short courses on hot topics,

    An internship at a partner site.

    Why should you participate:

    One year fellowships funding: $34,000 for fall/spring/summer support in year one or two of the program.

    Training in oral presentation, writing, and scientific communication skills.

    Graduate Certificate in Machine Learning.

    Team building among cohort members through social events!

    Eligibility:

    A doctoral student in the 1st or 2nd year of a PhD program at MSU or an incoming doctoral student. Students currently in their 3rd year should inquire with the program for eligibility. NSF funding is restricted to US citizens and Permanent Residents, however there is supplemental funding available from non-NSF sources to support other students.

  • Instructor/Assistant Professor at Siteman Cancer Center (Multiple Vacancies)

    The Siteman Cancer Center (SCC) at Washington University and Barnes-Jewish Hospital invites applications from scientists and physicians for multiple faculty positions focused on cancer research. While our focus is primarily at the Instructor or Assistant Professor levels, other ranks will be considered. We seek outstanding investigators who bring innovation to the study of cancer and its prevention and treatment. We are interested in faculty who have a strong interest in diversity, equity and inclusion through their teachings, research, service, or a combination of the three. Applicants should demonstrate high potential to establish independent research careers. Cancer research interests may include any level of scientific translation, from basic / bench science to public health and community engagement.

    Basic Qualifications

    Applicants are expected to:

    1) Have a terminal degree (e.g., PhD or MD) in a relevant field.

    2) Be post-doctoral scholars or early-career faculty.

    3) Have a strong record demonstrating ability or potential for conducting high-level research.
